# Core Responsibilities

## Goals Of The Community Council

The long-term goal of the Community Council is to:

* Create consistent server engagement
* Strengthen community relationships
* Encourage player creativity
* Develop memorable server experiences
* Give players more involvement in server culture
* Help AugustaMC feel active, welcoming, and community-driven

The Community Council exists to help players shape the community they want to be part of.

## Core Responsibilities

### Event Planning & Hosting

Community Council members are expected to regularly assist with planning, organizing, building, and hosting community events.

Examples of events may include:

* Build competitions
* Seasonal celebrations
* Town festivals
* PvP tournaments
* Treasure hunts
* Parkour challenges
* Trivia nights
* Horse races
* Fishing competitions
* Mini-games
* Roleplay activities
* Economy challenges
* Community showcases

Council members may:

* Pitch event ideas
* Build event areas
* Coordinate schedules
* Advertise events
* Host or co-host activities
* Gather feedback afterward

Events should prioritize fairness, accessibility, creativity, and fun for all players.

### Community Engagement

Community Council members should actively contribute to a welcoming and engaging environment.

This includes:

* Encouraging conversations in chat
* Helping newer players feel included
* Promoting positivity within the community
* Supporting community projects
* Participating in server discussions
* Bringing forward player suggestions and concerns

Council members are expected to be approachable, respectful, and active contributors to the server culture.

### Collaboration With Staff

While the Community Council is not a moderation role, members will work closely with staff when organizing larger projects or events.

Staff may assist by:

* Reviewing event concepts
* Assisting with rewards when appropriate
* Managing scheduling conflicts
* Helping enforce rules during events if necessary
* Providing limited logistical assistance in special cases

Council members should maintain professional communication with staff and provide clear information regarding event needs and timelines.
